The principal responsibility of the MARAC Administrator is to provide effective administrative, coordination, and information management support for the MARAC process, ensuring that high-risk domestic abuse cases are managed efficiently, confidentially, and in accordance with national guidance, force policy, and data protection legislation.
In particular to:
- Coordinate and administer MARAC meetings, including scheduling, agendas, invites, attending meetings and recording minutes, undertaking a shared responsibility for force MARACs.
- Receive and respond to enquiries from partner agencies in a timely manner (DA Safeguarding inbox).
- Receive and process referrals for MARAC as appropriate.
- Maintain secure and accurate records of MARAC cases, actions, and outcomes.
- Monitor, track and follow up outstanding actions from MARAC meetings.
- To refer MARAC cases in a timely way to relevant partner agencies.
- Liaise with police officers, partner agencies, and safeguarding professionals to gather and disseminate information as appropriate within an administrative function.
- Update and where appropriate interrogate databases and other data sources, downloading data and manipulating or presenting information in an appropriate format.
- Use systems & databases including HALO, MANTA, PNC/PND, LEDS.
- Ensure all information sharing complies with GDPR, Data Protection Act, safeguarding legislation, in line with MARAC Information Sharing Protocol and force policies.
- Provide administrative support to MARAC Chair as reasonably required.

In some posts this might include the ad-hoc provision of guidance and informal training of new colleagues.
