As part of the team working in the Policing Together Division you can make a real difference by supporting the provision of the Scottish Violence Reduction Unit to our officers and staff.
Key Responsibilities -
The Scottish Violence Reduction Unit is an internationally recognised leader in the prevention of violence and we are looking for someone to join the team who will help the development and evaluation of programmes in Scotland.
Ideally, we are looking for candidates with a track record in evaluation and an understanding of criminology, psychology and/or public health.
To perform a Qualitative Analyst Role within the Scottish Violence Reduction Unit function undertaking research and analytical assessment on a wide range of data, information and crime intelligence in support of the operational requirements of the unit, division or department as they impact at a tactical, operational or strategic level.
The Qualitative Analyst will provide direct analytical, research and qualitative evaluation support, to enable more evidence led decision making for prevention for the SVRU and across the Force.
The support will be in line with agreed terms of reference as managed and supervised by the Deputy Head and will be by way of intelligence development and verbal/written assessments to support strategic, investigative and operational work.
The nature of the work will require the production and presentation material. It is likely that the analyst will be supporting a number of projects at any one time.
This role will be Monday-Friday 0900-1700.
