OSS Chronicle Administrator
Role Purpose:
The main responsibility of this role is inputting and the maintenance of the Chronicle computer system - to ensure that all supporting processes, documents, and information is accurately recorded, thereby ensuring accurate data is available to provide timely management information in relation to business requirements.
The Chronicle suite is a system that supports organisations in protecting the public and their officers in high-risk operational areas such as Firearms and Public Order. Chronicle works with every Home Office Police force and several government agencies to ensure their high-risk specialist human resources are appropriately trained, accredited and deployable; enabling them to meet their operational demands and protect and safeguard the public with confidence and efficiency. This post is responsible for the accurate recording on Chronicle of all Initial Courses, Refresher training, shoot qualifications, medicals, fitness tests, CPD events and all other relevant training/tasks in a professional and timely way.
You will be required to demonstrate in your application the minimum requirement for the role:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Business Administration or other related subject/or equivalent proven experience.
- Demonstrate good IT skills, demonstrating experience of using Office 365 including Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook.
- Demonstrate the ability to provide guidance and advice to users to influence and promote best practice and maximise efficiency.
- Demonstrate well developed verbal, written and interpersonal skills, to communicate confidently and effectively at all levels, whilst maintaining good working relationships with a diverse range of people.
- Demonstrate experience of the provision of management information.
- Must be prepared to undergo an enhanced level of security vetting and pass that vetting, due to the sensitivity of the role.
- The ability to work under pressure remaining calm and constructive.
- The role is one that necessitates discretion and persons who are self-motivated.
- The use of Information Technology to an intermediate level that includes inputting/typing skills to at least 35 wpm.
Desirable
- Experience of working within an admin function is desirable.
- Experience of working with policy, procedures and Training Modules and how software systems are used to effectively support them.
- To have a working knowledge of the Data Protection Act, including Information Security implications.
