We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused People Systems Specialist to provide effective People systems administration, technical support, and professional advice to managers and staff across the organisation.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with strong IT and analytical skills to play a key role in ensuring our People systems operate efficiently and effectively, supporting workforce planning, resource management, and informed decision-making throughout the force.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide first-line and ongoing support, guidance, and advice to managers and staff on the use of HR systems.
• Ensure HR systems are operating effectively and optimally, promoting best practice and continuous improvement.
• Maintain the integrity, accuracy, and security of workforce data across multiple HR databases and systems.
• Produce management information, statistical reports, and workforce analytics to support organisational decision-making.
• Manipulate, analyse, and transfer data between systems, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve system issues, liaising with suppliers and stakeholders where required.
• Support workforce resource management processes, including shift patterns and working time compliance.
• Assist with system development, testing, upgrades, and the implementation of new functionality.
• Deliver a high standard of customer service while responding to queries from a wide range of stakeholders.

About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:
• A recognised computer qualification that includes database management, or equivalent knowledge gained through relevant experience in either CARM, HR Origin, Oleeo, Cority or Chronicle.
• Detailed knowledge of computer databases and systems, with the ability to extract, analyse, and present management information.
• Experience of transferring and manipulating data between systems.
• Proven experience of data analysis, statistical reporting, and report generation.
• Experience working within a customer-focused office environment, delivering excellent service and support.
• A sound understanding of Working Time Regulations, Police Staff Conditions, Force Policy, and Police Regulations relating to workforce resource management and shift-working arrangements.
• Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to non-technical users.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and experience working with HR or workforce management systems.
Desirable
• Experience of creating, maintaining and interpreting Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Ability to present data visually and provide meaningful insights to support business and workforce decisions.
• Experience of working with HR, workforce management or resource planning systems.
