Head of Digital and Data Solutions

About the Role

We are seeking a visionary and strategic Head of Digital and Data Solutions to join Lincolnshire Police’s Digital and Data Directorate (DaDD) Senior Leadership Team. Reporting directly to the Chief Technology and Information Officer (CTIO), you will lead the Force’s digital and data agenda, driving innovation, transformation and the delivery of our Digital and Data Strategy.

As the Force’s subject matter expert for digital and data solutions, you will play a key role in shaping how technology, data and emerging capabilities are used to support policing, improve services and help keep Lincolnshire safe.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading the strategic development of the Force’s digital, data and technology roadmap.
  • Driving innovation through the adoption of technologies such as automation, artificial intelligence and machine learning.
  • Overseeing the design, development and governance of digital and data solutions across the organisation.
  • Leading the delivery of data intelligence, insights and reporting capabilities to support evidence-based decision making.
  • Managing and developing high-performing teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Building strong partnerships across the Force, regionally and nationally to maximise opportunities and align with policing reform and wider public sector initiatives.
  • Providing leadership within the Senior Leadership Team and representing the Force at local, regional and national forums.

  • The ability to lead and influence at a strategic level, engaging effectively with senior stakeholders and partners.
  • Experience of developing and delivering technology and data strategies aligned to organisational goals.
  • Strong leadership skills with a commitment to developing teams, promoting collaboration and driving performance.
  • A passion for emerging technologies and a clear understanding of how data and digital capabilities can deliver organisational value.
  • The ability to balance strategic vision with practical delivery, ensuring solutions are sustainable, secure and customer-focused.
