Youth Engagement Coordinator (Maternity Cover)

About the Role

We are seeking a Youth Engagement Coordinator to join our Prevention and Partnerships team to cover a period of maternity leave, helping to deliver Lincolnshire Police's approach to youth engagement and education. This is an exciting opportunity to create, develop, coordinate and deliver engaging educational programmes that positively influence the lives of children and young people aged 5-18 across Lincolnshire.

Working closely with schools, local authorities and partner agencies, you will help ensure key policing messages are delivered in an impactful, consistent and meaningful way.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Delivering the police element of Stay Safe Days in secondary schools alongside partner organisations including Lincolnshire County Council, Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue, Horizons Youth Service and the Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership.
  • Coordinating and supporting the delivery of the Mini Police Programme across the county, ensuring high standards and consistent messaging.
  • Designing and developing educational resources, workshops and lesson plans that reflect local and national policing priorities.
  • Delivering sessions within the immersive serious violence education centre in Sleaford to young people aged 9-18.
  • Providing training, guidance and support to colleagues, parents, schools and education groups.
  • Monitoring programme quality, maintaining partnerships and collating data to demonstrate impact and effectiveness.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and confident individual who is passionate about working with children and young people and delivering educational programmes.

You will have:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience of delivering engaging learning or training sessions to a variety of audiences.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with schools, partner agencies and community stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects and priorities.
  • Experience developing resources, lesson plans or educational materials.
  • A commitment to maintaining high professional standards and upholding the principles of the Code of Ethics.

Biometric Vetting - Please note that alongside regular police vetting checks, this role will require the successful candidate to undergo Biometric Vetting checks which involves having a DNA swab and your Fingerprints taken.
