Dorset Police are an essential partner to DBS who have the critical role of conducting criminal background checks on people who have applied for jobs or voluntary work within areas who have contact with some of our most vulnerable. By accessing and reviewing secure Police information and conducting assessments to national standards you will be providing the Disclosure & Barring service and their partners with a summary of relevant information to enable them to make safer recruitment decisions. Whilst this can sometimes mean that you will be viewing potentially disturbing material, in doing so you will be playing a big part in the safeguarding of the most vulnerable people within the Dorset community.
