Apprentice – Fleet Technician
As an apprentice, you’ll have the opportunity to work with both our Service and Maintenance Team and our Commissioning Team, giving you a fantastic mix of skills and experience. This means no two days are the same — from servicing and repairs to preparing and converting vehicles for frontline use.
You’ll study toward a Level 3 IMI Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Principles at Llandrillo College, Rhyl, with full support from experienced technicians. You’ll also have monthly catch‑ups with a mentor to talk about how you’re getting on, what you’re learning, and your next steps.
You will be required to demonstrate in your application the minimum requirement for the role:
- Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons who are working towards or have completed a level 2 qualification in a Motor Vehicle related subject.
- 4 GCSEs at Grade D or above or equivalent level of qualification (to include Maths and English).
- IT skills and an understanding of Microsoft Office or similar IT packages.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and understand the importance of time management.
- The ability to work well in a team.
- Self-motivated and flexible.
- Must have a positive ‘can do’ attitude towards work.
