Apprentice – Fleet Technician

As an apprentice, you’ll have the opportunity to work with both our Service and Maintenance Team and our Commissioning Team, giving you a fantastic mix of skills and experience. This means no two days are the same — from servicing and repairs to preparing and converting vehicles for frontline use.

You’ll study toward a Level 3 IMI Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Principles at Llandrillo College, Rhyl, with full support from experienced technicians. You’ll also have monthly catch‑ups with a mentor to talk about how you’re getting on, what you’re learning, and your next steps.

You will be required to demonstrate in your application the minimum requirement for the role:

  1. Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons who are working towards or have completed a level 2 qualification in a Motor Vehicle related subject.
  2. 4 GCSEs at Grade D or above or equivalent level of qualification (to include Maths and English).
  3. IT skills and an understanding of Microsoft Office or similar IT packages.
  4. Good communication skills.
  5. Ability to meet deadlines and understand the importance of time management.
  6. The ability to work well in a team.
  7. Self-motivated and flexible.
  8. Must have a positive ‘can do’ attitude towards work.
