Job Title: Learning Platform Developer

Salary: The starting salary is £45,070, which includes allowances totalling £3,009.

The salary is broken down as £42,061 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £43,838. Plus, a location allowance of £2,009 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

Role Purpose

The Learning Platform Developer is responsible for the technical configuration, maintenance and optimisation of the Learning Management System and supporting technologies. This role provides advanced system administration and technical support, handling a broad variety of incidents, requests and system enhancements. The postholder will also work on projects within Learning and Development to ensure that we deliver technology that meets our business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary technical administrator for Cornerstone OnDemand.
  • Configure and maintain LMS settings, learning objects, curricula, assignments, transcripts, and reporting structures.
  • Manage user data, organisational hierarchies, permissions, security roles, and system rules.
  • Ensures system configuration aligns with Organisational learning and compliance requirements.
  • Act as an escalation point for more complex or high-impact LMS incident and requests raised by through our Service Desk.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Liaise with Cornerstone Support to log, track and resolve vendor-level incidents and defects.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement preventative measures for recurring issues.
  • Support and maintain integrations between Cornerstone On Demand and other systems.
  • Support testing and validating during system updates, releases, or organisation changes.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across learning and compliance reporting.
  • Maintain system documentation, change logs and process maps.
  • Lead/support configuration changes, feature enablement, and enhancements.
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
