Part time post, 32 hours per week.
Secondment/Fixed Term Contract for 9 months.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with police information, records and evidence. The successful candidate would be part of a supervisory team (of up to 6 people) responsible for providing an effective service to internal and external customers on all Records Management activities as well as solving related problems and providing recommendations and outcomes to resolve issues and mitigate risks.
You would also be required to use the warehouse management software and other systems to manage the record collections over their lifespan.
In this role you will cultivate relationships with stakeholders in order to raise awareness and proactively contribute to improving the two forces' adherence to Records Management standards, including retention and disposal of records (exhibits, paper, media and frozen samples) and other archived force assets.
You will have ongoing development in the latest legislation and processes around data protection, records and information management and evidence handling. This is in addition to many personal development opportunities.
If you are a permanent member of staff applying for this role, please note it will be offered on a secondment basis. Important: All secondments must be supported in writing by your Line Manager and Head of Department/Commander or Deputy. Please attach written approval from your line manager and Head of Department in your application. If the secondment is not supported then the role may be offered on a fixed term contract basis, but this has implications including loss of continuous service protections.
Please note: Shift allowance, on-call or other job related allowances from the previous role will not be protected unless they are attached to the new role for the duration of the secondment.
The Records and Evidence Centre is open from 0730-1700 Monday - Thursday then 0730-1600 Friday. The hours worked can be flexible within these timeframes.
If you are looking for an interesting, varied and rewarding role that will challenge and develop you, and you are a team player, we would like to hear from you.
