ICT Business Analyst

The ICT Business Analysis team plays a vital role within the organisation. In this position, you will build strong relationships across the business to gather and refine requirements for technical initiatives and process or system changes. You will be responsible for ensuring that user needs are clearly understood, documented, and managed throughout the full project lifecycle. 

Essential skills for success include:

  • Proven ability to work effectively within a complex organisation undergoing significant transformation, managing a diverse portfolio of work packages.
  • Experience delivering end‑to‑end business analysis within the full project lifecycle, including Business Acceptance Testing and transition to support, using recognised frameworks such as ITIL, PRINCE2 and/or Agile methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to produce high‑quality, concise and accurate documentation using appropriate BA methods and standards.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary project team while also maintaining focus and ownership of individual tasks, with the confidence to seek support when needed.
  • Skilled in eliciting, analysing, and documenting testable functional and non‑functional requirements and business processes in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead and facilitate investigations and decision‑making activities, ensuring stakeholder perspectives are captured, validated, and resolved where conflict arises.
  • Capability to advise, inform, and educate stakeholders on the potential value and contribution of technology solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. 

This role will include remote work but requires regular travel to Hampshire Constabulary and Thames Valley Police offices.
