West Yorkshire Police, the lead force for the Yorkshire and the Humber Regional Scientific Support Services (RSSS), is looking to recruit an Imaging Technical Lead (Ops) to be based at Calder Park, Wakefield.
This is an excellent opportunity to join the Regional Imaging Unit and play a key role in supporting the future of our technically diverse department. As a highly professional and innovative organisation, we are seeking a candidate to lead our drive towards continued accreditation in line with the Forensic Science Regulators guidelines.
The Imaging Technical Lead (Ops) will play a vital part in developing and improving technical processes as well as identifying root causes of non-conformance, therefore, good communication and supportive qualities will prove essential. The successful applicant will need to be highly motivated with a real drive towards providing continued improvement of service across multiple disciplines across the department. As the Technical Lead (Ops), you will have supervisory responsibility for a small group of Deputy Technical Leads.
You will be paid monthly and will be entitled to a generous annual leave allowance which increases with service and automatically enrolled into a local government pension scheme. Your location at Calder Park includes free and secure on-site parking, however you must be prepared to work flexibly to suit business needs as well as to travel throughout the Yorkshire and Humber area as required.
You will work in accordance with the flexi-time scheme and can work on an agile basis once deemed competent.
Owing to the nature of the role, you must have the emotional resilience to be able to deal with images and scenes of a disturbing nature
